CLOCKWORK ORANGE MOVIE
I'd like to introduce the first theme wrote in basic english, so that all the people interested, maybe some students in Cork and also other people around the world, can partecipate to the dialogue.
It's really an hard task find an appropriate introduction for one of the masterpieces of Stanley Kubrick or maybe his best movie.
Without any doubt is one of my preferred movies, an extraordinary piece of work.
It’s really strange, in my personal experience people who have seen that movie is divided in two contrasting groups: those who has fallen in love with it or those who thinks that is an overestimate opera, there is no middle category of those who values it as a good or medium job, like or you love it or you hate it, this is Kubrick.
We need to remember that it was realized in 1972 in Uk, but it seems to not lose with the ages neither actuality, neither charm. I believe that a great contribute to the success of the film come from the amazing soundtrack, the music appears as a thematic extension of Alex’s (and the viewer’s) psychological conditioning, like in the famous scene of the rape:

Personally I consider “Singing in the rain” fantastic, Kubrick shows the truth: when the law and order break down mob behavior rules.
THE FILM WAS A FORCAST: PEOPLE REALIZED THAT WE ARE NEAR AND NEAR TO THAT SOCIETY.
If you want, let my know what is your opinion about it, or about the role of the violence, or about the hidden messages behind the camera, or about the feminist protests against it, or about his censure in UK or about what you think relevant, or about my mistakes in writing this post!!!

HAPPINESS ECONOMICS
Come argomento supplementare al post "DEMOCRAZIA-DITTATORE BENEVOLO", per coloro che sono più interessati al benessere, mi piacerebbe affrontare il tema dell'Economia della Felicità, settore in espansione che lega psicologia ed economia, riavvicinando l'economia alle altre scienze sociali; partendo dalle carenze informative insite nelle canoniche metodologie di misurazione della crescita economica, im primis il PIL.
L'economia non è affatto una "scienza triste", come spesso è stata definita, certo se avete visto troppe volte il TG1 Economia, è più che lecito pensarlo!!
Spero di ricevere una vostra risposta per sapere cosa ne pensate a riguardo ed eventuali suggerimenti, pur essendo ancora aperto il dibattito del precedente post.

DEMOCRACY OR BENEVOLENT DICTATORSHIP??
VORREI INIZIARE IL DIBATTITO CON UN TEMA SOCIALE, SUL QUALE L'UOMO SI INTERROGA DA CIRCA 2 MILLENNI, BASTI PENSARE A SOCRATE E ALLA CULTURA GRECA: LA DEMOCRAZIE E' UN SISTEMA CHE FUNZIONA?
SONO MOLTO INTERESSATO IN QUANTO FORSE IN FUTURO FARO' ANCHE DELLA RICERCA A RIGUARDO, MA PER IL MOMENTO CIO' CHE DESIDEREI RICEVERE SONO SOLTANTO PARERI, SI' MOTIVATI, MA NON FORMALIZZATI IN MODELLI, INSOMMA UN DIALOGO APERTO A CHIUNQUE, NON NECESSARIAMENTE STUDIOSO DEL SETTORE. SPERO TROVIATE L'ARGOMENTO INTERESSANTE E CERCHERO' DI RISPONDERE AI COMMENTI E STIMOLARE GLI INTERESSATI.

"Whenever an autocrat expects a brief tenure, it pays him to confiscate those assets whose tax yield over his tenure is less than their total value. This incentive plus the inherent uncertainty of succession in dictatorships imply that autocracies will rarely have good economic performance for more than a generation. The conditions necessary for a lasting democracy are the same necessary for the security of property and contract rights that generates economic growth."
